  • Sam Woodhouse is an experienced trial attorney. He tried numerous jury and non-jury trials to verdict in federal and state courts, as well as commercial arbitrations. Sam supplemented his actual courtroom experience with intensive classroom trial advocacy training at Temple Law School’s nationally recognized LL.M. in Trial Advocacy Program. This culminated in Sam earning an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he graduated with Honors.
  • Sam is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia and Florida.
  • Sam received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University in 1990 and he received his J.D. from Thomas R. Kline School of Law Duquesne University in 1993.
  • Sam started his legal career at Cozen O’Connor in Philadelphia as a first-year associate in the Litigation Department in 1993 when he graduated from law school. Sam relocated to Cozen O’Connor’s Atlanta office in the year 2000. During his tenure at Cozen O’Connor, Sam was promoted to Junior Partner, Senior Partner and Shareholder. Sam also became the Managing Partner of the Atlanta office of Cozen O’Connor.
  • Sam established The Woodhouse Law Firm, LLC in 2007. His practice areas include business litigation, insurance defense litigation, commercial arbitrations, commercial recovery litigation, contract law, subrogation and recovery, data protection and privacy law, and serving as local counsel. Sam regularly represents Fortune 500 companies, insurance companies, middle market companies, governmental entities and high net worth individuals.

  • In addition to his over 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer, Sam has mediation and arbitration training which includes: 1) Resolution Resources Corporation comprehensive 21 hour training course on the concepts, principles, and application of the skills of mediation; 2) Henning Mediation & Arbitration Services, Inc. – 28 hours of Civil Mediation training and 12 hours of Mediation Practicum; and Henning Mediation & Arbitration Services, Inc. – 7 hours of Arbitration training.
  • In 2016 Sam received the A.T. Walden Outstanding Lawyer’s Award from the Gate City Bar Association. In 2018 Sam received the Commitment to Equality Award from the Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession of the State Bar of Georgia. On April 12, 2018 Sam received the GABWA Professional Development Academy Visionary Award.
